Starting in the Midst
Hello Family & Friends:
My tendency as a writer is to want to start something from the beginning - at some major life change, maybe a new baby, or a new career, a graduation or a move, or the start of a new year at least.
But here I sit already in the midst - in the midst of November 2005, in the midst of raising these two little girls with Todd, in the midst of our "kind-of" careers, even in this midst of this night.
I guess this is as good a start as any.
There are two goals of this blog:
(1) To stay connected with our extended family and friends, send news of the girls especially, and encourage some of you to do the same. I was motivated to start this today by looking at the blog of our friends, the Prest Family. What a cool way to share.
(2) I'm a terrible, creative geek and want to figure out this whole blogging thing. Bear with me a bit as I experiment here with photos and hopefully with video clips. We'll see how it goes!
Please post comments if you like and also share this blog with other extended family/friends and send us your news. Todd and I find that the only personal time we get is often well past 9 or 10pm at night and we won't be calling you that late (lucky for you). Hopefully this is a way for us to stay in better touch.
Love,
R.

Dear Rach,
Seems like most of life is "in the midst" although I know what you mean about the impulse to start something at auspicious moments. That may be why I tend to buy new clothes and then wait forever to wear them. Looking for the "right" occasion.
I loved the photo of the first birthday. What a darling. Have fun with the blogging.
